Education/ Experience/Training · 5+ years staffing experience, including at least two years in a leadership role. · Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent. · CHRP designation or equivalent would be an asset. Skills/Knowledge · Excellent communication and organizational skills. · Knowledge of HR practices and local laws and customs. · Knowledge of jobs in oilfield industry and local market. Duties / Responsibilities · Under general supervision collects job descriptions for open positions and creates a list of the hiring managers' requirements. · Responsible for sorting resumes for further action. · Coordinates and initiates initial phone screening, interviews and verbal offers of candidates. · Handles communications with candidates. · Assists with advertising, employee referrals, and job fairs. · Maintains electronic applicant file system · Responsible for providing employment and placement capability to ensure the offering of qualified candidates to management and identifying internal growth opportunities for successful employees. · Oversees recruiting, screening, placement, and transfers of potential and current employees. · Has oversight and participates in the university and tech school relation programs. · Ensures that employment and placement activities conform to local laws. · Handles special projects, as assigned.
