My Client an International Oil and Gas Operator has a vacancy for a Senior Reservoir Engineer in their Aberdeen Office.

Duties:

Perform reservoir engineering studies and activities, including, but not limited to, participating in integrated field studies and performing reservoir simulation studies
Performing well and reservoir studies in support of exploitation and exploration projects through the company
Primary role will be in reservoir simulation studies including finite difference and streamline simulation models; all aspects of model construction, history matching, well calibration and prediction cases
Evaluate and apply innovative modeling techniques
Participate in multi-discipline projects worldwide; some travel required
Education, experience and/or special qualifications required:

Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering; MS or PhD preferred
Ten to 15 years petroleum industry experience as a reservoir engineer, including 5+ years in reservoir simulation; additional experience in operations and engineering preferred
Previous experience leading technical/project teams
Demonstrated proficiency in Geoquest's Eclipse 100 and Streamsim's 3DSL streamline simulation; background using Petrel would be beneficial
Proficiency in pressure transient testing, fluid characterization modeling, material balance applications, NODAL Analysis, production surveillance techniques and economic analysis
International experience helpful, but not necessary
Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information essential
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work within an integrated multi-discipline team
Strong leadership skills - provide technical reservoir engineering leadership
Computer programming experience advantageous
Must be able to travel, possibly to overseas locations
