The HSE Manager shall be based in Aberdeen and provide leadership, direction, alignment and support to the Europe Caspian business.
This position requires someone with demonstrable experience within SH&E along with a robust and progressive management career that is willing to travel around 30% of the time as this shall be within their remit.
The Manager shall lead and mentor the SH&E team of professionals (including both direct and indirect reports) and advise on all safety, health, and environmental processes and issues through the leadership in SH&E implementation and compliance of management systems, customer and internal requirements, and regulatory activities with a focus on achieving a zero injury and zero incident culture. •The continuous improvement in SHE performance and culture through recognized industry best practices.
•Manage all aspects of SH&E direct and indirect reports e.g., performance reviews, goals/objectives development, mentoring, and reporting requirements.
•Ensure that measurable SH&E goals and objectives are incorporated into the annual business planning and performance management processes for sales.
•Drive standardization of SH&E practices through implementation of global and regional processes that achieve continuous improvement in SH&E performance and KPI’s.
•Develop annual budget and exercise appropriate oversight and control of expenses.
•Work with Management to proactively ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and company requirements. When necessary, create the business case for new/ improved compliance or best practice projects.
•Drive the implementation and conformance to Global Management System into the sales organization.
•Identify best practices and facilitate the deployment of those practices.
•Provide support to Senior Leadership by providing the tools and guidance to implement SH&E initiatives and promote a positive safety culture.
•Routinely evaluate the status of SH&E systems and performance through site visits, audits, and other assessment tools.
•Represent the company in contacts with government agencies and customer SHE system and compliance audits.
•Where appropriate, direct the preparation or review of environmental or safety permits applications, incident reports, and other required reporting.
Extensive experience in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety coupled with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to create, communicate, and advance SH&E programs across the Organization is highly pertinent for this position where you will operate at a strategic level and create tactical plans to implement the identified corporate and SH&E strategy.
