Acts as a Team Leader to assigned professionals and technicians as is necessary to satisfactorily complete work assignments. Offers advice on geophysical matters requiring a very high degree of technical expertise. Prepares summary reports on geophysical activities where a very sophisticated type of analysis and mature judgment is required for an adequate evaluation. Attends inter-company geophysical meetings that discuss complex problems, when decisions are being arrived at concerning future approaches and directions of investigation. Reviews work of geophysical interpreters, processors and field supervisors to evaluate results and to make suggestions concerning modifications designed to improve results and/or increase reliability and accuracy. Undertakes detailed studies of specific problems and presents results and conclusions to management. Contacts other members of the profession concerning the newer and more sophisticated geophysical techniques and evaluates their application to Aramco problems and objectives. Represents the Company at outside meetings and discussions held with representatives from SAG, the U.S. Companies and various geophysical contractors. Prepares presentations of geophysical material to illustrate different problems, results and conclusions. Evaluates the performance of contractors and makes recommendations relating to improving their efficiency and results. Assists in training the less experienced geophysicists through discussions and work sessions.

Status: Staff
Required Skills/Experience: Extensive professional experience, which should be as a specialist in incumbent's discipline. Incumbent must be highly regarded and accepted as an expert.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required in Geophysics or related field (e.g. Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering).
Desired Qualifications: Graduate study or extensive formal training in specialty field is desirable.
