Our Client, a Major International Offshore Oil & Gas Engineering Contractor, requires a Geotechnical Engineer to work on Offshore Engineering activities in their Aberdeen based UK Head Offices.

Candidates should hold an honours degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Preferably with post-grad qualification in geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics
3 years relevant experience at a senior level within a similar organisation.
Should have skills in Environmental Compliance & Environmental Risk Assessment
Geotechnical and Hydraulic Engineering - Geotechnical - Soil Analysis - Piling & Site and Subsurface Investigation

Will be required to contribute to team through proactive learning and ideas.
Ensure quality of work issued is high and conforms to Division and Group procedures.
With advice and input from Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Geotechnics Manager where appropriate.
Help consolidate Group experience expertise in discipline, engage with more experienced team members and peers to develop an understanding of the organisation and industry trends.

Project Support - Provide a link between project management teams and Division.
Liaise with project management teams to clarify aspects of the work and complete tasks within the agreed timeframe.
Provide support in the most convenient location for the project team.
Become involved with Company’s on-going Research & Development programmes by undertaking allocated tasks and development work.
