International Oil and Gas Operator have an exciting opening for a corporate lawyer to join their legal team in Aberdeen. This varied role will involve handling a range of legal and contractual matters across all areas of the business, including the management of acquisitions and disposals, Joint Operating Agreements and advising on employment law issues. Previous Operator experience is preferred and you must possess excellent communication skills and a high degree of personal accountability.Main Duties and Responsibilities: To provide advise on and handling legal and contractual matters across all areas of the business - eg acquisition/divestment deals, Joint Operating Agreements, Bidding Agreements, transportation agreements, contractual indemnity provisions, advising on employment law issues.
Provision of Legal & Contracts advice/support to ensure compliance with laws and Company Procedures.
Tasks include e.g. negotiating a variety of agreements (e.g. transportation agreements, operating agreements, sale and purchase agreements, farm-in agreements), managing litigation; providing advice on employment law. Person Specification: A qualified solicitor or barrister/advocate, preferably with an understanding of the oil and gas business (particularly as it relates to the UK).
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills plus an ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
