A National Oil Company based in Abu Dhabi urgently require a Senior Reservoir Geologist.

Task and Duties

Conducts, directs and participates in reservoir characterisation studies. Monitors the interpretation of all geological data in order to imrpove the geological models of producing and/or undeveloped/potential reservoirs. Builds 3D geological models incorporating reservoir rock typing, structural, seismic, SCAL data and performances uncertainty analysis. Evaluates geological uncertainties in the subsurface by defining and ranking geological scenarios. Supports reservoir engineers in the simulation studies. Initiates and follows up closely on all geology related studies in new reservoirs carried out by consultants or shareholders in assigned field/concession area. Assists in integrating geological study findings with other studies undertaken by the assigned team. Acts as a source of guidance to less experienced reservoir geologists and provides training in 3D modelling studies.

Experience

Bachelors degree in geology

8-10 years experience in Petroleum Geology including at least 4 years in carbonate reservoir geology

Working knowledge of Petrel and uncertainty analysis

Experience working in inter-discipline teams

Very good knowledge of English
