Position Description
1. Candidate must be able to perform Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshoot and repair of the following:
- G.E. Gas Turbine
- Gear Box
- Different types of Pumps and Mechanical Seals
- Different types of Valves
- Air Compressor
2. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
3. Must have knowledge in doing reversed alignment
4. Must be familiar in using different kinds of mechanical precision tools
5. Problem solving skills and knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
6. must be willing to lead, train and develop young craftsmen.Duties and responsibilities
A. Performs work direction to a group of machinist technicians generally in the range of from 2-4 personnel.
B. Locates equipment faults and operating irregularities by making the necessary diagnostical tests, measurements and analyses. This may
be done with equipment in place in the field or, if necessary, by stripping equipment down in field or shop. Determines nature of repairs to be
made and replacement parts required.
C. Performs necessary maintenance on assigned equipment, stripping down, replacing, fabricating or re-machining parts as required.
Reassembles equipment, runs operating tests to ensure satisfactory repair.
D. Performs high-skilled diagnostic and machinist tasks as required.
E. Prepares new or altered installations on all types of mechanical equipment including foundation work, line-up, gear box, coupling and
speed control settings, then test runs for acceptance.
F. Sets, adjusts and performs maintenance on machine tool equipment and balancing machines.
G. Provides general guidance and work direction for assigned crew members.
H. Trains lower level Machinists as required.
I. Performs any other job-related tasks.

Minimum Requirements
A. Succesful completion of ITC courses: English, ERW; Math, MI. Successful completion of Maintenance Machinist program, CTMS code
0492. B. Eleven (11) years experience in the machinist field. OR
A. Completion of formal apprenticeship program or equivalent in the machinist field.
B. Eight (8) years experience in the machinist field.
