Petroleum People’s geosciences team has been requested to source a Senior Reservoir Geologist for a large global integrated operator in Asia. Currently one of the major E&P companies operating in Asia, with a large market share already they are looking for further growth in 2009. With several successful exploration projects in the past year they are now looking to invest heavily in production, with several key assets offering very high levels of potential. As this dynamic company looks to grow rapidly the need for a technical expert in reservoir geology is fundamental. You will be charged with leading, directing and participating in reservoir characterization studies, as well as being a pioneer in building 3D geological static models by integration of reservoir rock typing, structural, seismic and petrophysical data. You will be able to incorporate all available geological data to enhance the understanding of reservoir potential in undeveloped and producing fields. If you have previous experience in evaluating geological uncertainties, performing risk assessment and volumetric calculations whilst also supporting the reservoir engineers in simulation studies then you will be well placed to succeed in this role. As this role is specifically aimed at a senior professional you will naturally have a minimum of 15 years experience working with a recognized independent operator in the oil and gas industry. This role is purposely aimed at a technical expert who has been on more than one expatriate assignment. You will ideally be a proficient user in Petrel, RMS and ideally past experience in South East Asia.
