This is a unique opportunity in the market at the current time. A leading UK firm require an experienced Scottish qualified commercial property practitioner to join their Commercial Property team. You will undertake a broad range of commercial property work for the firm and will also assume responsibility for establishing and building a team in Aberdeen. Main duties and responsibilities: •Working as part of the Commercial Property team, you will be responsible for the servicing of all property work which has a Scottish element for the general clients of the firm •Secured lending for banks •Working on retirement home portfolios and development projects •Assume responsibility for office relocations (including head office relocations) and the real estate aspects of projects work for clients. •Retail sector work, where the firm have an extensive client list. •Ensuring that opportunities in Aberdeen and across Scotland in the retail sector are maximised by servicing clients who possess extensive real estate portfolios and extracting further work including current retail clients, who are looking to roll out new stores in Scotland. •Renewable Energy work including providing support in relation to project development north of the border. •Assisting and leading the acquisition of energy generating stations including wind farms, and financings. •Providing advice on matters such as grid connection easements, access agreements and the Real Estate aspects of planning agreements, acting for an extensive client base. Person Specification •The Commercial Property Partners are committed to maintaining a strategy of having capability in Scotland and England/Wales and there great enthusiasm for the opportunity to establish a team in Aberdeen at the current time. •You must be Scottish qualified and the firm are looking for a Senior Associate to be based in Aberdeen. •There is a clear path to partnership, particularly bearing in mind the potential which exists to extract Scottish work from their existing client base as well as maximising other new avenues for business. You must possess the potential to lead their Scottish practice and to establish a team in Aberdeen and to look after the junior team in Bristol.
