Initiate, lead, provide consultation and conduct applied research in matrix acidizing, acid and hydraulic fracturing, water shut-off both individually and/or along with a team. The candidates should have the ability to generate new ideas and projects, and contribute substantially to existing efforts. The candidate should have previous experiences dealing with acidizing carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. The candidate should have the ability to treat various types of damaged wells including: gas, oil, water injectors, disposal wells, water supply wells and gas injectors. The candidate should be aware of chemical treatments needed for extended reach, multilateral and smart wells. The candidate should be familiar with various acid additives, and their functions and limitations. The candidate should have modeling skills to assess and evaluate various chemical treatments including, but not limited to, scale squeeze, scale removal, and organic deposition. Ability to communicate and steer applied research with various international R&D organizations. Ability and desire to mentor young professionals is also required. Ability to communicate with production, reservoir engineers and geologists is also required.

Required Skills/Experience:
Candidate should have advance degree (preferred PhD) in petroleum of chemical engineering. It would be expected that the candidate will have extensive combined experience in the oil industry, academia and/or government employment related to acid stimulation treatments, with extensive experience devoted primarily to research and development. Excellence in research will be evidenced by the candidate's publications, invited presentations, patents, professional awards and honors, and professional society activities. The candidate will be expected to be experienced in a broad variety of well productivity enhancement technology areas, and have worked in a variety of reservoirs and fluid types. Significant knowledge of other areas of geology, rock mechanics, and chemistry is essential. International travel is expected.
