Initiate and lead research projects in enhanced oil recovery with focus on CO2 and/or chemical based EOR. . This should include conducting feasibility reservoir engineering and economic studies, scoping studies and developing and executing plans for pilot EOR projects. Develop plans for EOR projects, including reservoir simulation, reservoir engineering, and design of surface facilities, well design, and operations. This should include engineering know-how, simulation, economics and operational. Conduct and lead detailed hydrocarbon fluids phase behavior related research studies in a team environment. Train junior scientists and engineers. Consultant for research studies related to fluid properties and phase behavior e.g. reservoir, production and process engineering, geochemistry, Petrophysics, etc. Form and lead multi-disciplinary technical teams.

Required Skills/Experience: Research and field experience in EOR with focus on Miscible (CO2) and /or chemical EOR projects. extensive experience related to enhanced oil recovery methods. Engineering experience including technical and economic scoping studies of CO2-EOR projects. Able to develop detailed studies in a team environment. Able to design and lead a pilot EOR project, including surface facilities, well design, and operations. Familiar with research studies related to EOR including knowledge of MMP measurement, asphaltene precipitation, swelling tests, data interpretation and fluid characterization for reservoir modeling. Excellence in research will be evidenced by the candidate's publications, invited presentations, patents, professional awards and honors, and professional society activities.
Required Qualifications: Must have an advanced degree and relevant EOR experience (PhD preferred).
