The duties and responsibilities are generally performed in a plant or support services environment. The position generally involves occasional sitting; frequent standing, occasional walking; moderate to heavy lifting, and carrying; frequent kneeling, twisting and balancing; occasional climbing; and frequent reaching, pushing / pulling and grasping. The environmental conditions generally include frequent exposure to unprotected heights, exposure to uneven and wet surfaces temporary exposure to varying degrees of noise. Under the direction and supervision of the SLWP POV Area Managers; interfaces with construction on system handover to meet project schedules. Understakes all POV activities to bring the systems ready for commissioning. Provides assistance to the client's operations and maintenance as instructed by POV. Must be competent in the Electrical Engineering discipline with industrial facilities experience.

Status:	Contract
Required Skills/Experience:	1. Implements POV and testing program. 2. Review P&ID's and engineering documents. 3. Supervises/assigns work to technicians and construction crafts. 4. Interfaces with other departments and vendors to support testing activities 5. Prepares and maintains System Handover Package documentation 6. Performs system walk downs and generates punch lists 7. Reviews System Handover Packages. 8. Schedules, works with abd supervise equipment vendors 9. Submits POV Field Reports 10. Works with client’s O & M staff in support of commissioning as required 11. Works shifts as required to support the project schedule 12. Prepares test procedures as required 13. Performs other duties as assigned by the POV Area Managers 14. Ensures high level of Safety is at all times maintained 15. Strictly follow and support Project Safety lock out/tag-out procedure.
Desired Skills/Experience:	Operates from established and well-known procedures, under general directions Job is not supervisory in nature Receives minimum supervision Decisions are made within policy constraints New and varied work situations Job involves a moderate degree of complexity Contacts are normally made with others inside the Project Contacts are usually immediate associates and own supervisor Must be able to read piping and instrument drawings and other relevant engineering documents. Needs good English communication skills, both verbal and written
Required Qualifications:	A.A.S. or 4 year engineering degree or technical equivalent. Several years of proven experience in POV. Knowledge of labour jurisdiction, safety requirements, construction techniques, tools and equipment, and protective tagging systems is required. Must have strong personal computer skills with a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Acess as a minimum
