Applicants should be HND or degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline; have significant experience in Design of Offshore Vessel Pipelay equipment (or similar vessels)
A strong project management background in offshore vessel construction & preferably experience with Newbuild Offshore Pipelay or Construction vessels.

Role: To liaise with & assist the Pipelay System Project Manager & other internal departments re Design Reviews & preparation of specifications on Scopes of Work.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes & standards.
Ensure 3rd party design houses are in compliance with the applicable codes & standards
Develop equipment specifications for tenders related to equipment procurement.
Develop scopes of work for subcontractors.
Ensure Project Team is provided with engineering advice & guidance on the NPV project.
Attend meetings as & when required by project demands.
Be responsible for ensuring adequate reporting is undertaken throughout the project life to all relevant parties.
Perform drawing & document reviews & approvals & provide Document Reviews Records (DRR’s)
Undertake Site Visits as required by Pipelay System Project Manager.
Advise Project Team on any foreseeable technical problems which may arise.
Participate in implementation of design reviews for all scopes of work.
Ensure design changes are controlled contractually & commercially
Liaise with sub contractors to ensure design activities are adequately monitored, reviewed & results recorded
Liaise with the Project to provide:- Technical Advice Design of equipment Advice on stability - COG & other issues.
Ensure as-builts, calculation packages & studies are handed over reviewed technically in conjunction with Document Controller.
