Our Client, a Major International Offshore Oil & Gas Engineering & Subsea Pipelay Company urgently requires a Buyer to work in their Procurement Dept on a project based at their UK Head Offices in Surrey. Will be responsible for the purchase of equipment/services for Vessel maintenance. Candidates must have previous experience as a Buyer for an Offshore Company and have the ability to work as a part of a team and under their own initiative, be motivated and proactive with the ability to prioritise tasks.
Experience with an offshore contractor in the same or similar Industry
Ability to read AutoCAD drawings
Ideal candidate will have worked as a buyer, a project engineer or as a field engineer.
SAP experience an advantage Will be required to take charge of fast-track purchase orders
Dealing with approx 5 to 10 purchase orders per week, these can vary from nominal to high value.
Involving procurement of:- steels, engineering/construction consumables to related services . Everything required for fabrication /construction in the offshore pipe lay/heavy lift Industry Rate Negotiable.
