An excellent opportunity has arisen with this leading Aberdeen firm for a Pensions Lawyer to build and develop their existing team. This role will offer the opportunity to take a lead position in the strategic growth and development of this specialism and you must possess a broad knowledge in this area. Main duties and responsibilities: This is an exceptional role in the current market and your duties will include: •To take forward the established pensions practice. •The pensions practice was established around two years ago and, with full firm support, the candidate would have the opportunity of taking a lead position in the strategic growth and development of this specialism. •This will cover: pensions advice to employers, corporate transaction support work, advice in relation to scheme start ups, continuance, restructures and closures, advice on legal compliance, relationships with regulatory authorities and the effects of legislative reforms. •The position would be based in our Aberdeen office, although flexibility can be offered with the possibility of spending some time working out of our Edinburgh office. •This will be a senior position, likely to be at associate level, with strong partnership potential. •An attractive salary and benefits package will be offered. •4+PQ. Preferably with a background in pensions work in private practice or in house. •A candidate with more of an employment - based background but with an interest in specialising in pensions work would be considered.
