• Directs, co-ordinates, manages and provides Petroleum Engineering support to the Well Integrity Engineering Division, Well Integrity Department of Dukhan Fields.
• This includes all engineering aspects of well integrity studies, drilling, well completion and other related activities, from job design to review of data collected during on-site implementation.
• Reviews and control well surveillance and operations engineering; including performance modelling and interpretation.
• Carry out inputs related to well integrity activities. Participates in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams.
• Develops and mentors less experienced staff.
Status: Contract
Required Skills/Experience: • Minimum 15+ years work experience as a Petroleum Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry with demonstrated Surveillance/Production Engineering expertise in carrying out well integrity studies & review in large oil and gas fields.
• Proven experience at recommending remedial well work solutions for all types of wells.
• Experience with planning well integrity investigation and corrective actions.
• Experience with tubing flow performance TPR & IPR modelling and Gas Lift design/troubleshooting.
• Experience with interpretation of cased hole production and diagnostic logs
• Must have strong teamwork skills, and it would be an advantage to have experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, less experienced staff, field staff, and management
• Must have experience mentoring less experienced engineers
• Must have experience/knowledge of current computer software for production engineering applications
Desired Skills/Experience: • Desirable to have experience working in mature producing fields where finding, assimilating, and integrating data from incomplete files and variable sources can be challenging.
Required Qualifications: • Minimum of a BSc in Petroleum Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering supported by strong experience and knowledge of upstream/downstream of oil and gas operations activities is required.
