Our client provide global capability in complex marine operations and offshore engineering.

The business has ambitious growth plans and is actively recruiting across all locations and business lines. The Engineering business in Aberdeen focus on marine warranty; marine projects; analysis and consultancy work including moorings, drilling risers, semi-submersible units and mooring integrity.

The role is office based in Aberdeen and reports to the Engineering Director.

Candidates will be degree qualified in a relevant naval architecture or structural discipline; preferably chartered. Desired experience includes:
„h Marine warranty experience
„h Structural analysis experience
„h Exposure to platform, FPSO and subsea installation design/analysis
„h Vessel engineering experience

JOB DESCRIPTION
„h Perform warranty/consultancy surveys on transportations and installations
„h Inspecting, analysing, producing and reviewing detailed reports
„h Audits, surveys and incident investigations
„h Execute offshore installation projects
„h Managing projects, making recommendations and liaising with clients
„h Liaising with 3rd party vendors

PERSON SPECIFICATION
„h Strong interpersonal skills
„h Report writing experience, with strong attention to detail
„h Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
„h Good working knowledge of analysis packages and modelling software
„h Experience of analysis and drawing packages
„h Experience of delivering operational projects on time and on budget using standard project management methodologies
„h Thorough knowledge of engineering principals eg hydrodynamics
„h Ability to establish effective working relationship with clients
„h Able to prepare written business correspondence and technical documentation that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional
