Company Profile

I am representing a highly regarded international operating company who have a requirement to add a Senior Reservoir Engineer to their Australian asset development team in Houston. My client is one of the world’s largest integrated energy companies with operations that span the globe. Their Australian business is focused on offshore gas fields off the country’s West coast, where technical activities are managed out of the Perth and Houston offices.

The incoming Senior Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for delivering sound field development scenarios based around well planning and drilling operations to generate optimal depletion rates. They will compute reserves estimations, build dynamic reservoir simulation models, interact with senior colleagues in a multidisciplinary team and foster relationships with joint venture partners and regulatory bodies. On this basis it will be great benefit to have an in-depth understanding of reservoir engineering and production operation that is complemented by exposure to the G&G and Drilling/Completions disciplines.

To be considered for this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate more than 15 years post-MSc experience with a strong focus on large-cap developments. A preference will be given to candidates who have worked for Major operating companies in the Gulf of Mexico, particularly those who have worked extensively with the Eclipse, Petrel, Gap, Prosper and MBAL software packages. My client is offering a substantial salary and performance related bonus which has been structured to attract leading talent in the upstream industry.

This is a brief outline of the position. Our methodology is based on absolute transparency and if your initial preference is to gain more information prior to committing your interest, I welcome you contact me on the details below anytime up to 21:00 (GMT)
