Technical Department requires an ERG Superintendant to lead its Reliability Team. Principally the successful candidate will: • Manage equipment reliability program. • Provide leadership to our stationary and rotating equipment engineers in maintaining the highest possible on-line availability of equipment on all production and utilities units. • Be the key interface with management and plant personnel, as well as vendors & consultants. • Demonstrate safety leadership by being a role model for safe behavior and personally exceeding the minimum annual safety target initiatives set by the Management Team.The individual must possess excellent work ethic and be able to function effectively in a multi-cultural team environment. Previous supervisory experience is a must and previous Middle-East work experience would be a definite asset. Additional Responsibilities • Responsible for the development and application of reliability programs, based on 29 CFR 1910.119(j) Mechanical Integrity. • Focus on reducing the cost of manufacturing and maintenance. • Responsible for the reliability of approximately 800 pieces of rotating equipment including pumps blowers, steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, plus 400 exchangers and 800 vessels, and associated piping. • Responsible for in-depth engineering reviews of rotating and fixed equipment data and recommendation of corrective actions to production, maintenance and technical departments. • Extensive experience in rotating equipment diagnostic programs such as Bentley Nevada 1 and other inspection and reliability software. • Responsible for the reliability effort that involves evaluation of history, field observations, design engineering changes, operation engineering changes, maintenance changes, and expected life versus actual life. • Responsible for effectiveness of analytical and instrumentation techniques for detecting and diagnosing mechanical problems, in fixed and rotating equipment, including vibration analysis, infrared analysis, ultra sound, and oil analysis. • Ensuring accurate status is maintained on all mechanical equipment, including history, costs, performance, vibration monitoring, oil use, etc. in order to reveal bad & worst actors. • Expand and improve the level of expertise with the reliability department. • Review engineering drawings for deSign, fabrication, and material details for new mechanical equipment. • Participate and advise in developing plans for major shutdowns, construction or alteration projects where mechanical inspections will be critical to the accomplishment of the work. • Responsible for providing inspection services at contractor shops to insure quality of new and overhauled fixed and rotating equipment. • Become personally involved in major shutdowns to ensure a trouble-free start-up. Assume the most responsible person role in the start-up of all major rotating equipment after shutdown. • Strong communication skills, (oral/written and presentations). • Sound technical writing/documentation skills. • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, (coaching, listening & conflict resolution). • Familiar with ASME, TEMA, and API codes and standards. • Familiar with SAP, Meridium and Microsoft programs. • Proven self-starter. Highly motivated and able to sustain a high performance team atmosphere.
