Senior Structural Engineer (Topsides)

Our client is an engineering organisation serving a variety of engineering sectors with Oil & Gas being one area of specialty. Due to increasing activity and work load THEY have identified a need for an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen.
To be considered for this role you must be a chartered engineer holding a good degree in structural or civil engineering and have several years experience covering topside analysis, design and fabrication. Prior direct exposure to design appraisal and a higher level of relevant academic qualification would be an advantage. Specifically, you will need to: have acquired an in-depth understanding of design codes AISC, API-RP2A (WSD & LRFD) and their development; project management and co-ordination capabilities; be familiar with fabrication specifications; and have experience in topsides analysis linear software (STAAD PRO preferred). Topsides experience in fire, blast & dropped objects design is also required.
