Educational Qualification : M. Sc. (Exploration Geophysics), M.Tech. (Pet. Exploration),

Work Experience Required: 5 – 15 years

Software Exposure : Fluent in several interpretation packages. Expert in one. Skilled in MS Office applications.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Conceive, evaluate, and recommend high quality prospects for acquisition and inclusion to the exploration program.

2. Seismic Interpretation
1. Collaborate with geologist and reservoir engineer to ensure integrated interpretation
2. Use efficient work flows to minimize interpretation time
3. Apply specialized techniques (AVA, seismic attributes, inversion, etc ) as required to reduce prospect risk
1. Seismic Acquisition and Processing
a. Ensure best fit design parameters to maximize frequency content, coherency, and consistency
b. Supervise and ensure efficient and effective acquisition
c. Define and implement processing flow with contractor to maximize data quality
2. Keep current on new and emerging technologies and apply as is needed

JV Partners - Work to achieve technical consensus
DGH - Interactions with DGH for program progress and advice

Technical Competencies

1. Well rounded industry professional with extensive experience one or more of the following topics:
a. Structural Interpretation in varied styles
b. 2-D/3-D Seismic Interpretation
c. Sequence Stratigraphy
d. Seismic stratigraphy
e. AVA
f. Attributes Analysis
g. Seismic Acquisition and processing
h. Gravity and magnetic
