Role : Provides strong geological and technical evaluation of exploratory and developmental projects.Reports to : VP-Exploration Educational Qualification : Post Graduation (M.Sc./M.Tech) in Geology / Petroleum Exploration Work Experience Required: 8 - 15 years on Clastic hydrocarbon Reservoirs. Software Exposure : Proficient in industry standard software packages as well as presentation software. Primary Responsibilities • Conceive, evaluate, and recommend high quality prospects for acquisition and inclusion to the exploration program. • Conduct Basin Analyses as required to evaluate plays or initiate new plays • Assess the hydrocarbon potential of development, delineation and existing discovery projects. • Cause to be drilled the acquired prospects and document the objectives for drilling • Prepare final reports for drilled wells to include the post mortem analysis of the success or failure • Collaborate with the Operations geologist as required to ensure the trouble free drilling • Recommend work program components and determine their budgetary requirements • Prepare and present recommended programs and achieve technical consensus.
