The Reservoir Engineering Practice at Petroleum People has an immediate requirement to source an EOR expert for a leading independent oil and gas company. This business takes a highly technical approach to its E&P activities, applying a host of hugely impressive and innovative techniques to its projects in the Middle East where it is delivering almost 500,000 bopd and is backed by a huge budget for further development. This will be driven in part by the use of Enhanced Oil Recovery techniques on its brownfield projects which will include gas injection and WAG and as such, they are seeking a new Head of EOR and Studies to deliver their plans.As the department’s internal and external EOR representative, the Head of EOR will devise, implement and optimise all EOR projects in the field, ensuring that learnings are recorded in detail and used for further production enhancements whilst maintaining a position at the forefront of EOR technological developments. They will devise studies and perform pilot projects to reduce the risks attached to gas injection and WAG projects, lead and develop a team of specialists, initiate research projects and communicate results to colleagues and other industry experts. The successful candidate is expected to have enjoyed more than 15 years post graduate experience with a focus on delivering EOR projects for recognized operators.
