Our Geoscience team has been retained by a growing E&P independent operator to source a senior geoscientist for an expanding office in South East Asia. Recent investment in acquiring several large offshore deepwater assets that offers huge potential has led to my client looking to grow their small technical team in the area. As a senior figure you will play a key role in this growing office, reporting to the technical manager and working very closely to the core prospect team based in North America. As the senior geoscientist your fundamental role is to provide geological evaluation, with a strong focus on the prospect generation process and play fairway analysis whilst supporting the businesses activities in South East Asia. You will need to have excellent seismic interpretation & mapping skills at regional prospect level, ideally using Petrel interpretation software. Proven experience in analyzing and assessing the risk of new acreage in data rooms whilst working with joint venture partners and government institutions is a necessity. Working in a diverse subsurface team you will also need to have proven well operations and regional datasets experience. As this role is for a seasoned professional you will have a minimum of 10 years upstream oil and gas experience with a respected operator, ideally very recent, if not present experience in Asia. If you have proven Geological knowledge of analogous deepwater settings in a clastic reservoir framework, excellent written and spoken English then you would be well positioned to succeed in this role.
