Our client is currently seeking an experienced Production Technologist for the Petroleum Engineering Department providing support for our UK assets. The ideal candidate will have experience from an operating oil company and have a broad skill set within the production technology discipline in particular within:• Well integrity & surveillance • Subsea wells • Completion (concepts/technologies/design, cost efficient solutions, gauges, gaslift valves, sand control, multilateral wells) • Stimulation (fracture producers/injectors, chemical stimulations) • Reservoir chemistry and fluid compatibility • Corrosion surveillance • Erosion • Water injection (concept/design/implementation, reservoir souring predictions, scaling predictions) • Produced Water Management (water shut-off, treatment, disposal, costs). • Well intervention techniques (plugs, PLT, removal of skin damage, sidetracking from old wells, cased hole logging) • New technologies ( downhole separation, subsea inline separation, water shut off, downhole gauge re-instatement, smart wells, SWAG) As the Production Technologist, you will provide innovative support for the development of producing fields, which includes evaluating the use of new technology to maximise well productivity or ultimate recovery. You will also provide expertise for field development studies which range from infill drilling through sub-sea tie backs of new fields to development of HPHT discoveries. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and work actively with the team to identify any workover or intervention situations to optimise reserves. Your responsibility will also include the management of well integrity and surveillance.
The ideal candidate will have a science or engineering degree and have significant experience as a Production Technologist. You must have a good understanding of subsea developments and experience in HPHT developments would be desirable. You must be able to work independently and possess a strong technical drive combined with excellent communication skills.
