My client, a leading international drilling contractor, is recruiting an experienced Verification Engineer to join their operations in Aberdeen.The role will involve: Compliance of assigned rig(s) with Certifying Authority, Flag State, Coastal State and company standards. Project management of change initiations, upgrades and repairs to the assigned rigs unless otherwise informed. Resolution of all technical queries raised by the rigs operational team, and the raising of any issues which remain unresolved at a higher level. Technical review of the rigs compliance with any Invitations to Tender and the raising of areas of non compliance. Management of all technical documents relating to assigned rig(s). Provision of technical support to materials department to specify equipment and evaluate tenders. Monitoring of rigs compliance with operation manuals and procedures such as Marine Operations Manual, Stability Program, Written Scheme of Verification, Location Approvals and Rig Move Guidance. Preparation of Requests for Engineering Assistance from Corporate Engineering Dept. Knowledge and experience of Safety Case and Written Scheme of Verification documentation. Understanding North Sea offshore legislation as applicable to mobile offshore drilling units. Work with Regulatory Agencies and Classification Societies in achieving MODU compliance certification.
