Our Petroleum Engineering Practice has an immediate requirement to source an experienced Production Engineer on behalf of a mid-sized European independent operator. My client’s production rates are in a sustained period of growth, led by its E&P activities on offshore Norwegian gas fields and 2 new projects are due on-stream at the end of 2010. They are looking to bring in a Senior/Principal Production Engineer to facilitate this and to ensure that they are well prepared to deliver optimal production rates.As the Principal Production Engineer in a relatively small multidisciplinary team, the incoming Production Engineer will play a key role in creating and implementing the Field Development Plan and ensuring that all relevant operational procedures are in place when production starts up. They will be responsible for well design, monitoring production rates and addressing production issues, creating additional value, cutting costs and planning and executing well interventions. Applicants are likely to have more than 10 years of relevant experience, specifically in the Norwegian sector and their astute technical abilities in Production Engineering will have been gained with international operating companies.
