Our project needs are increasing in all parts of the business and our culture is changing in line with commercial evolution. We are now seeking a Commercial Managers to completement our current team. The candidate should be flexible and willing in providing the necessary admin support to the lead Commercial Manager and the team. The candidate will need good communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated with a confident personality. The role will require good organisational abilities in managing the relevant duties and the ability to work using their own initiative. As a key member of the commercial team within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team or working on their own, the main duties include: Understanding the FEED / PMC Contract; Developing the contracting strategy document and regular updates; Developing and maintaining the required confidentiality arrangements; As required, preparing Invitation to Bids (ITBs) for licensed units, commercial/contractual evaluation of licensors’ bids and assisting client to finalise Agreements; Preparing EPC prequalification enquiry documents; Evaluating proposals and prequalification of EPC Contractors; Preparing commercial/contractual elements of EPC ITBs and reviewing key technical specifications; Evaluating commercial/contractual/technical EPC bids, preparing for negotiations and finalising Contracts; Depending on the client’s requirements, the EPC contract administration activities include: (i) the general overview of the contractor’s performance under the contract; (ii) reviewing all incoming correspondence and outgoing correspondence for contractual correctness; (iii) drafting contractual notices and amendments; (iv) reviewing all claims and changes proposed by the contractor and organising Home Office support and assistance where appropriate; (v) monitoring the contractor’s commercial and schedule performance under the contract; (vi) monitoring the administration of contracts, eg, processing of payment certificates and variations, and ensure the satisfactory operation of procedures; (vii) ensuring that the requirements for the security of records and the maintenance of back-up copies are observed; and (viii) participating in audits as and when required.

Degree level qualification preferred
The Individual Candidates will need to be articulate with excellent verbal and writing skills. They will need to demonstrate a general awareness of commercial/contractual issues and pay attention to detail whilst also being able to see the 'big picture'. Candidates will need to be a team player as they will lead or be part of the small commercial team within a project. Candidates will need to demonstrate strong organisational skills. Candidates should be aware of the process plants’ industry marketplace and the challenges. Competent skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required. Knowledge of Access would be an advantage.
