Huxley Assocaites are currently working with an international oil and gas operator in the search for a Drilling and Well Manager to be permanently based in Stavanger.Main duties Management - Develop and manage the drilling function within their Norwegian operation in line with the company strategy - Supervise the Exploration Drilling Superintendent and Gjøa Drilling Manager in planning and in execution of the day-to-day drilling operations, and allocate support to non-operated drilling activities - Manage recruitment, development and performance of personnel - Develop strategies and plans for securing rig capacity - Be responsible for rig intake process and securing third party services - Be responsible for day-to-day administration of rig contracts and associated services - Prepare Annual Budget for the Department and execute it - Actively work to develop excellent client relationship - Develop excellent cooperation with in house support functions and contribute to the development of governing systems and procedures - Actively participate in development of plans, system and procedures across the group - Interact with oil industry representatives by attending relevant conferences and seminars HSE&Q - Ensure that "the see to it duty" is carried out for responsible operations and that all contractors working for the company perform their work in accordance with Company and Norwegian legislation - Ensure that personnel working for and on behalf of the company are competent to perform their job - Ensure that a satisfactory emergency response system is in place to handle undesirable events - Supervise all team members in the use of relevant work procedures and practices in order to ensure their safety and the safety for all personnel involved in the operations - Plan and execute drilling operations in a manner that minimize the risk of harming the environment Operations - Ensure all documentation for drilling approval is prepared and submitted and that drilling approval is obtained - Ensure QLM process and Drilling Management System is in line with Norwegian legislation and company guidelines and SDI’s - Review and approve operational procedures and programs - Ensure that drilling activity is conducted in accordance with expectation - Manage cost control within limits of authority Competence requirements - MSC degree (or equivalent) from university - Minimum 10 years relevant experience (drilling engineering, supervision and operations) The role comes with an excellent salary and benefit package.
