DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incumbent will be an active steward of oil, water and gas-related activities.
Must have detailed and thorough knowledge of analytical chemistry related to the oil and gas industries.
Work requirements will include investigative studies, commissioning of new facilities, troubleshooting and innovative approaches to problem solving.
Training and development of other professional employees will be an important part of the job requirement.
Provides professional advice and assistance in a specialized area of technology such as industrial, analytical or physical chemistry;
microbiology; geotechnical or other specialized areas of civil engineering; petroleum or chemical engineering. Carries out original investigations relating to technical problems outside the scope of available literature. Keeps current with significant developments in the field of specialization. Is expected to use these in high investigative assignments when applicable. Visits plants, operating areas or construction sites as required to obtain information pertaining to assigned projects. Makes comprehensive professional reports of investigations. Maintains and updates working knowledge of applicable state-of- the-art laboratory instrumentation. Serves as a team leader or participates in major investigative projects as assigned. Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested.

Required Skills/Experience: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: B.S. Science/Engineering discipline (Chemistry and/or Chemistry related) and proven technical and investigative aptitude.
Chemistry related MS degree would be a significant advantage. Must have thorough understanding of complex analytical instrumentation and chemical processes. Knowledge and experience of gas & oil separation operations (GOSP's), oilfield chemicals usage and optimization is highly desirable.
Experience: Seven (7) years experience in a substantive industrial, technological or laboratory area relevant to the job assignment. Good command of oral and written English. Demonstrated active participation in technical seminars and/or original industrial research.
