Job Description/ Qualifications:

Responsible for the Controls function on a project or department. Provides leadership for cost, planning/scheduling, estimating, and, if applicable, quantity measurement. Develops the Project Execution Plan for forecasting, tracking, and reporting project cost as well as estimating, cost control, and planning/scheduling. Responsible for implementation of project control procedures and development of direct reports.

Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree and 15+ years of experience.

Requirements:

Candidates for this position need to have successfully completed at least 10 years in a senior or Lead project position in cost control, and/or planning/ scheduling, and also have experience of estimating or quantity measurement. He or she will be required to set up and implement project control processes on projects, using the KBR corporate project controls systems. The location for this position will be Leatherhead, with occasional travel to other project site locations.

Specific Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be required to manage and lead the project controls team on a large multi-discipline project. This will include:

•Prepare Project Controls Execution Plan and Start-Up Plan.

•Produce Project procedures, using existing corporate procedures, and consistent with Company procedures, covering all aspects of estimating, cost control and planning/ scheduling for the Concept Selection Project.

•Manage and direct the activities of project controls staff, including staff performance evaluation.

•Coordinate project Risk Management activities with the KBR Risk Management Group.

•Prepare Project Monthly and Weekly Reports for Project Director’s approval and issue to Client.

•Manage and report KBR project costs and revenue, including set up and operation of Change Control System to identify out-of-scope changes to KBR work.

•Establish and maintain communications and interfaces with Client project controls representative.

Candidates for this position need to be experienced self starters who can set up and implement project control processes and work as part of a large project team.
Appropriate years experience in project controls on oil and gas projects, including some experience of LNG Plants.
