The Senior Technical Services Manager role provides leadership for a global team dealing with Technical Support issues for GE’s Oilfield Technology Measurement-While-Drilling and Logging-While-Drilling product lines.

Essential Responsibilities ·Involvement in NPI (contributing to the definition of product specifications, coordination of field tests and the development of field operations and maintenance practices, etc.)
·Managing the development of all customer reference, operations and maintenance documentation
·Coordinating the development of customer training plans and materials, Aberdeen, Houston, Calgary and regionally based training courses and customer competence tracking
·Coordinating and processing customer technical and operational feedback and involvement with sustaining engineering issues (working with Technology Engineers)
·Coordinating responses to customer issues via the Customer Complaint and Customer Issue Resolution systems
·Coordinating the communication of technical updates both internally and externally using the Technical Information Letter (TIL) and Field Notice (FN) system.
·Providing technical advice and support to regional support functions.
·Coordinating the technical training of maintenance staff in regional workshops
·Establishing equipment and procedural requirements for regional maintenance facilities and coordinating the set up of same
·Acting as the technical arbiter for all customer warranty and concession claims
·Managing a global Technical Services team located in Aberdeen, Calgary and Houston

Desired Skills/Experience: ·Technological expertise – proven leader in the MWD/LWD technology space
·Proven managerial and leadership ability
·Strong oral and written communication skills
·Capable of planning and executing major initiatives
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Vast amount of experience in MWD operations with a technical background
Minimum Experience: 10 years
