Our Geoscience team has been retained by a growing E&P independent operator to source a Senior Geologist for an expanding office in Malaysia. Recent investment in acquiring several large offshore and onshore assets that offer huge potential has led to my client looking to grow their small technical team in the area. As a senior figure you will play a key role in this growing office, reporting to the technical manager.
As a Senior Geologist your fundamental role will be to create and update 3D static models of operated reservoirs, and so clearly you will demonstrate keen technical excellence in Petrel. You will also be responsible for volumetric assessment in the recommendation of field development strategy, including the location of appraisal and development wells to senior management. Working in a diverse subsurface team you will also need to have proven well operations and regional datasets experience. As this role is for a seasoned professional you will have a minimum of 8 years upstream oil and gas experience with a respected operator, ideally very recent, if not present experience within Malaysia. If you have proven Geological knowledge of a clastic and carbonate reservoir framework, excellent written and spoken English then you would be well positioned to succeed in this role.
