Primat Recruitment Limited a part of the AMEC group is recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer for a six month contract based in Baku Azerbaijan.In this role you will be required to support the Principal Engineer and to work with the Piping Team in delivering the Piping Engineering Design ensuring that it meets with AMEC and the Clients criteria for Technical Design Quality, Technical safety and within the allocated timescale. The work involves conceptual and detail design for offshore Brownfield projects in a developing organisation. The key aims and objectives of this role are to support the piping team to ensure they deliver to the clients needs working safely and accurately. You will be required to actively take part in and support the career development of the teams graduate and other technical design personnel. The prime responsibilities and duties of the role are the preparation of piping design including front end, detail design and close out deliverables, as directed by the Principal Engineer. You will work with the Engineering team in providing safe design and prepare and provide graduate and technical development sessions. Occasional short offshore visits to survey and develop designs will be required It is essential that you have experience of a number of piping engineering design roles in the offshore industry as well as in piping engineering upstream production of hydrocarbons (specification preparation, material selection, pipestress requirements, valve selection, and requisition preparation. You will have experience in layout consideration including PUWER compliance and awareness of safety, hazard management and area classification requirements for offshore installations. It is desirable that you have Brownfield modifications detailed design experience and some construction, hook-up and commissioning experience and have spent time on live hydrocarbons facilities. It is essential that you have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in appropriate mechanical engineering subject and desirable that you are a Chartered Engineer and member of appropriate engineering institution.
