Managing construction activities carried out by contractors, ensuring the scope of work is achieved in accordance with contract requirements and timeframe, and in compliance with specifications and standards established.
Coordinating the activities of discipline supervisors ensuring that priority disputes are resolved.
Ensuring that contractors duties are performed by competent and experienced personnel and in sufficient numbers to achieve objectives, promptly advising the Line Manager of any areas of concern.
Ensuring that construction activities are performed in the highest HSE standards, cooperating closely with the Company and Contractors HSE staff, managing monitoring, reporting and acting to constantly maintain the highest HSE standards, and promoting internally and externally the HSE culture.
Ensuring that the Quality of work carried out complies with QA/QC international and RoK standards, cooperating closely with the Company and Contractors QA/QC staff, managing monitoring, reporting and acting to constantly maintain the highest QA/QC standards, and promoting internally and externally the QA/QC culture.
Managing, monitoring and reporting the Technical Progress vs Construction Schedules and Look-ahead, highlighting delays, reasons of delays and possible remedial actions.
Participating actively in construction meetings with contractors.
Reviewing and commenting on documentation produced by contractors (technical reports, specifications, procedures, methods statement, drawings, TQ, CR, etc) ensuring implementation of established procedures and good engineering practice.
Ensuring the all the documentation relevant to construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases is produced by contractors in compliance with the Rok standards and requirement, liaise at this purpose with internal and external QA/QC, PRC, Technological Supervisor, Author Supervisor, etc, highlighting any discrepancy to contractors relevant staff and Company departments and line managers, being the diligent part for obtaining from contractors remedial and recovery actions
Ensuring appropriate technical support to line managers and Company departments in decision making for any change proposals/requests
Expediting with contractors’ material department the material delivery, distribution and availability in accordance with planned activities, highlighting to contractors construction and quality staff and Company line managers any delay, non compliance, low quality, etc.
Acting within the assigned construction team as a focal point for various RoK/FSU design institutes, local regulatory authorities, third parties, etc.
Deputise for the Export Pipeline Construction Manager if and when appointed

Status: Contract
Required Skills/Experience: Tertiary education Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of ten years discipline experience incorporating detailed design and operations experience, preferably in complex onshore and oil and gas project.
Experience in operation of hydrocarbon facilities with stringent requirements in terms of HSE.
Experience in Former Soviet Union and/or Caspian Area would be preferred, as would previous similar company role, especially in managing and interfacing with major contractors.
Minimum Experience: 10 years
