Salary: $1700-$2000 per month for every month including the months when off DO NOT APPLY IF YOUR EXPECTED SALARY IS OUTWITH THIS RANGEScope of Responsibilities Site surveys Technical support to clients operational personnel Primary Duties The Instrument Engineer will be a member of a small field team interfacing with the clients site based personnel, providing essential field data that will be used to make up work orders / work instructions to enable clients home office to carry out the specified engineering work. Activities might typically include site surveys, production of as built drawings, review of IFC packages, and support to the clients personnel in the preparation of PIRs (field generated Project Improvement Requests). Qualifications B.Sc. degree in Instrument Engineering or equivalent. Experience & Competency Experience in Instrument Engineering preferable in the Oil and Gas Industry Excellent English language skills both written and spoken Familiar with the AFPC L1 to L5 standards/design practice requirements in addition to other associated international standards such as IEC 61508, 61511, ISO 5167 etc. Have sound knowledge of hazardous area classification according to European and USA standards, in terms of device selection and area use. Competent with field instrument type operating principles and selection criteria (e.g. flow, level, pressure, temperature) including sizing and selection capabilities for control valves, orifice plates and thermowells Knowledge of piping classifications, instrument material and installation requirements Experience with DCS and ESD systems Broad experience of Fire and Gas systems Knowledge of Hydraulic and metering systems Thorough knowledge of industry installation practices, installation and testing procedures for oil field instrumentation equipment Full clean Driver License Accommodation will be on the site camp and include 3 meals a day and laundry Rota: 28/28
