Our client is currently having the following vacancy:

Transportation & Installation Manager / OIM

Location:
Vung Tau, Vietnam

Duration:
2 years project or till project handover
Yearly renewable contract

Commencement:
on-going

Schedule:
6 months on / 6 days off
6 days per week, up to 10 hrs per day

Project Type:
EPCI (Construction Engineering, Bulk Procurement, Construction, Transportation and Installation) of Jacket & Topside for CPP and Other Platform as well as Pipeline Works.

Accountabilities:
Initiate, manage and managerially supervise the offshore transportation and installation (T&I) scope of the project.
Undertake responsibility for the management of the project offshore
Being the primary T&I operational interface with the client, T&I subcontractor, other discipline (construction, engineering, etc) third parties, etc.
Ensure that T&I operations are completed in accordance with approved programs, procedures, relevant statutory, project contractual and technical specifications.
As head of T&I discipline, to make sure this activity are well coordinated and deliver satisfactory results.
Overall management, coordination, administration, reporting and interface with Client, T&I subcontractor, government agency and third parties.
Responsible for managing the preparation and execution of Installation activities, coordinate engineering, requisitioning, construction functions, quality with regards to transportation and installation.
Provide assistance in all commercial and contractual matters with Client and Subcontractors.
Responsible for the technical, commercial and operational aspects of the project from project initiation to completion.
Undertake responsibility for the management of the activity offshore
The role includes being the primary operational interface onboard with the client, superintendent, engineers and vessel masters in the spread.
Ensure that operations are completed in accordance with approved programs, procedures and relevant statutory and company policies. Likewise, operations shall be completed in accordance with the necessary contractual and technical specifications
Directly engage with the Vessel Master/Captain in the event of an emergency to provide operational leadership, liaison with management, and personnel resources as directed to efficiently and safely affect the emergency.
Ensure that all HSE policies are implemented and maintained, and all personnel have full understanding of those policies
Maintain required documentation and its required level of document control.

Remuneration:
Please quote minimum expected day rate in USD per day.
Leave provided but unpaid due to day rate.
Accommodation - Lumpsum of USD1500 to USD2000 per month provided.
Transportation - Provided by Client
Insurance – a BUPA medical plan and a group accidental insurance plan will be enforced.
Personal Income Tax – all Vietnamese personal income tax will be paid for.
Mobilisation – Economy class tickets to be provided during Mobilisation and Demobilisation.

Required Skills/Experience: Requirements:
Preference for former OIM, Mariners or Construction Superintendents with hookup and commissioning and offshore construction.
Computer literate (MS Office)
At least 10 years of substantial related experience is essential, with demonstrable relevant offshore operational and management experience - ideally in a Superintendent type position with international offshore manangement experience.
Good overall knowledge of all offshore construction operations supported by a strong foundation in engineering and management capabilities is desired.
Experience with Barge operations and other aspects of subsea construction is a plus.
Good interpersonal skills, working with diverse multi-cultural & multi-disciplined teams
SE Asia regional experience advantage
