Education: BS Geophysics, Physics, Engineering, or Geology.
Experience: 9 years. A solid background in all aspects of seismic interpretation, especially 3D seismic, and its integration with borehole geophysical and geologic data. Candidate needs to have experience with GeoQuest (IESX) and/or Landmark (Seiswork) interpretation software. A comprehensive knowledge of seismic acquisition and survey design parameters and a working knowledge of 3D seismic processing are highly desirable. Candidate should be fluent with at least one processing software application (preferably Paradigm or Promax). Working knowledge of CSP acquisition and interpretation is essential. An understanding of seismic acoustic impedance inversion modeling using Hampson-Russell, Jason Geosystems, RC2, or other related software would be considered a plus. Written and oral skills are critical for effective communication with peers, team members and superiors. Workstation (UNIX) capability and knowledge of various geophysical software applications for use in single line (2D) interpretation to 3D volume interpretation, attribute analysis and seismic model construction.
