The mechanical design draughtsperson will be part of a multi-disciplined engineering team that designs remote controlled electro-mechanical and hydraulic products (ROV's) that are used in harsh environments. The mechanical design draughtsperson will be responsible for the parts, assemblies and drawings associated with production support (new builds) and also for upgrading existing products. Responsibilities Performing work in accordance with Company procedures and guidelines. Production support of new builds and product upgrades - whilst dealing with complex parts and assemblies and production of detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and exploded view drawings in Solidworks. Detailed checking of drawings, for dimensional accuracy, tolerances and presentation. Interaction with mechanical and electronic engineers to ensure that parts, assemblies and drawings are correct. Interaction with production/service/quality/stores/purchasing departments to ensure that parts and builds are as per the design, and that any issues are correctly resolved with the minimum consequential effects on other assemblies and products. Dealing with internal and external engineering change requests. Qualifications and Experience Requirements Diploma qualified in Mechanical Engineering. Competent in the use of 3D CAD software. Conscientious, thorough and meticulous in detail.
