The Electronics/Electrical Design Engineer is part of a team of skilled engineers in the design of a range of high quality sub-sea products. Typical tasks will include design project management, electronic and electrical product development, PCB design, taking prototype systems to production and ROV system design to customer specification. Applicants should have at least 6 years experience in Analogue/Digital and video design. The ability to produce high quality schematics of designs is essential. Experience with embedded software programming in ‘C' and National Instruments Labview would be considered to be an advantage.You will also be required to produce Manuals for new products and produce updates for modifications to existing products. Responsibilities Design of electronic/electrical circuits for new and existing company products. Producing printed circuit board layouts for circuit designs. Software development and modifications. Production, interpretation and modification of complex electrical/electronic schematics and product manuals. Prototype assembly and testing. Interaction with mechanical design engineers to ensure product is designed with mechanical issues in mind. Assisting technicians with first time builds to ensure that parts lists, assembly drawings and stock details are correct. Interaction with purchasing/stores/production/quality departments to ensure that parts and builds are as per the design. ROV systems design and modifications to customer specifications. Qualification Requirements HND or Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Good electrical/electronic fault finding skills.
