You will ensure that sufficient and reliable data on reservoir characteristics and performance is obtained and analysed. You will identify reservoirs requiring study and participate in such studies involving close liason with other specialists such as geologists, petrophysicists and petroleum engineers.

Main Duties

- Participate in the establishment of reservoir development plans and monitor related data and tests to advise on offtake levels required to maximise oil recovery

- Participate in the preparation of reservoir tests and production logging requirements for new and existing wells. This includes devising well testing design such as flowing/injection period, required depth of test elements, test intervals and type and method of sample collection

- You will interpret test data and ensure the up-dating and maintenance of well-files and computer data base

- Carry out detailed analysis in data obtained from well and field tests in order to define well and reservoir parameters, such as reservoir permaebility, pressure, formation damage and well productivity

- Participate in adhoc and planned reservoir studies as a team member to predict well or reservoir behaviour and determine optimum oil recovery methods

Education and Experience

- Degree in Petroleum engineering or related disciplin

- 15 years experience in reservoir engineering

- 4 years experience in a lead position
