. Suggest and developadhoc studies in relationwithprojects development.
. Work withthe project team to produce feasibilityand design studies, and to evaluate
bids and select contractors. . Reviewprojects specifications and major packages along the project development.
. Coordinate the timely input of information from the different QP directorates to the
project, which is required for the project definition and advancement of negotiations.
. Participate in negotiations of commercial project agreements.
. Support the commercial negotiation team(s) on technical and project execution matters.
. Protect QP's interests in dealing with foreign partners.
. Participate in the implementation of projects monitoring systems and assess projects
performance.
. Capture, analyze and integrate project information in order to support decisions
. Collect and gather business information in relation to other QP departments and
Affiliates.
. Contribute to updating a knowledge and base of oil, refining and petrochemical products
and data.
. Forecast supply demand balance availability of feedstocks and other raw materials.
. Participate in the development of the departmental work plan. Contribute to elaborate
the directorate business plan.
. Participate in the long-term departmental development program in coordination with the
other departments.
. Communicate clear analytical findings to management.
. Promote teamwork within the department while acting as a change agent for supporting
the department continuous improvement.
. Promote professional and trustworthy relations with prospective joint venture partners
and technology licensors through the appropriate agreements.
. Liaise with multi-disciplinary experts with regards to generating ideas and specific
positions on process technology and business matters.
Keep informed on changes in the industry within the GCC region and worldwide,
cognizant of the global economics (e.g. changes in production costs, operating capacity,
etc, competitors, leaders in the industry and their profile).
Provide timely progress reports on projects and prepare necessary inputs for
presentation materials intended for symposia, management meetings and business
planning week.
Participate in training and development of Qatari graduates.
Status: Contract
Required Skills/Experience: B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Petroleum/Process/Chemical Engineering with strong
awareness of Economics and Business Development is required. An advanced degree
is advantageous (e.g., Masters in Business, Economics, etc.).
Professional membership of intemationally recognized project management and/or
business associations.
12 years minimum of varied industry experience in Gas Processing, Petrochemical or
Refining as project engineer in process design, project economics and in development
of venture companies.
Highly motivated, dynamic profile capable to exercise influence with outstanding
communication skills.
Extensive exposure to multi-cultural working environments. Capacity to integrate the
corporate differences between QP working policies and foreign partner's procedures.
