Reservoir Geologist Required – Houston WRS’s client are one of the most widely recognised and highly respected names in the Oil & Gas industry. We are currently assisting with their recruitment for their Houston office and their requirement for a Reservoir Geologist. This is a phenomenal opportunity to be involved with some of the most exciting projects being carried out in Deep Water. THE ROLE: The role will involve providing high quality technical support to deep water assets, including, geological evaluations, evaluation of reservoir performance, building of geocellular models and other geological interpretation and advice. Candidates will also have responsibility for planning and organization of subsurface projects requiring the application of advanced geological skills. The role will also entail provide technical supervision to less experienced geologists at the same time as interacting with other subsurface disciplines, such as petrophysics, geophysics, reservoir technology and production technology in integrated projects. You would participate in partner meetings, workshops, peer assists and management reviews as required and take responsibility for technology transfer and development of best practices related to reservoir geology. THE PERSON: To be considered for this role candidates must be MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (Proof sufficient to satisfy US immigration laws is a requirement of employment) Candidates will ideally have a Minimum of 5 years experience and will possess an MSc in Geology and Candidates with Deep Water experience is preferred and you should have experience in development well planning and data acquisition Applicants should have an in-depth understanding and practical experience from fields in the development and production phases as well as expertise in one or several geoscience disciplines, such as sedimentology or structural geology. You should be experienced in use of geophysical data for geological interpretation and have knowledge of methodologies for subsurface uncertainty assessment. You will be an experienced user of 3D geo-modelling software and standard tools (IRAP-RMS, OpenWorks) Good communications skills and strong command of English, both oral and written.
