PLEASE APPLY ONLINE AT WWW.NEXENINC.COM/CAREERS BY DECEMBER 11, 2009 - Support engineering analysis for modifications and new designs of piping, pressure vessels and mechanical equipment - Conduct Fitness for Service assessments and coordinate external engineering support - Develop & maintain engineering standards and specifications relating to mechanical equipment and systems - Auditing of plant site pre-commissioning including proper equipment preservation methods - Support planning and execution of upgrader commissioning, start-up and on-going operations

Required Skills/Experience:	- A degree in mechanical engineering with eligibility for registration with APEGGA - Versed in current statutory regulations, industry standards and recommended practices and a practical sense in applying such references - Minimum of eight years plant site experience in an operating Upgrader, oil refinery or similar hydrocarbon industry is desired. Other industrial site experience will be considered - 3+ years in a maintenance or plant engineering role - Demonstrated capability to analyze mechanical equipment and piping systems, conduct stress analysis and perform fitness for service evaluations in an operating plant environment - Practical experience in supporting maintenance and project requirements - Experience with material handling and rotating equipment considered an asset
Desired Skills/Experience:	- Technical strength coupled with interpersonal skills - Excellent planning and execution drive to deliver results and meet quality, cost and schedule targets - Ability to work in an unstructured environment to help develop new systems and infrastructure - Must have strong PC skills and excellent written and verbal communication
