As a Senior Chemist, you will be responsible for 1 or 2 subordinates deploying effective subsurface chemistry activities in-line with agreed processes, covering up to 8 rigs simultaneously.
The client drills in excess of 400 wells per year, performs >1400 cement jobs and >500 stimulation jobs, each activity needs a technical programme, a monitoring programme and a review.
The ideal candidate will have a University degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Geology or equivalent technical subject. They will have significant experience in both technical and supervisory positions with good exposure to drilling fluids, cementing and stimulation activities and associated tools and equipment.
To ensure success within the role, well-developed multi-disciplinary skills, especially PE, and an in-depth knowledge of process chemistry and laboratory management are essential, as will be well-developed man-management and communication skills.
The role will require strong organisational ability, with the preparation of both daily and future plans to ensure chemistry services are maintained and meet the business challenges.
