Serve as first line focal point for all global financial analysis and decision-making support to the base oil leadership team; global lubes finance leadership team, and other key stakeholders. Add significant value to the base oil business through robust, thoughtful, and constructively challenging support as it pertains to monthly global management reporting, variance analysis, annual planning process, economic analysis for special projects (acquisitions, divestitures, benchmarking studies, other key business changes/strategic challenges), and other financial analysis activities as appropriate.

Participate as a critical member of the newly established Commercial Finance 'think tank' to also provide financial support and analysis for major business initiatives/challenges across the Lubricants Supply chain (base oil and blending) and finished lubricants (sales & marketing) organizations.

Play a key support role in financial aspects of preparing base oil business for game changer GTL (Gas to Liquids) impact in 2010-2011 and beyond, due to Global Lubricants long-term purchase commitment for large volume of base oils from Pearl project / sellers in Qatar.
