Senior Principle Structural Engineer - Offshore design experience - Saudi Arabia, accommodation in Bahrain

Location - Saudi Arabia, living in Bahrain
Salary - Negotiable
Rotation - 3 months / 2 weeks for Single status or you can have family status
Salary - Range $160k - $200k+

Lead and co-ordinate Structural Discipline Engineering issues across all disciplines within an assigned project. Provide technical leadership and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards and Basis of Design for a particular Project.


Specific Accountabilities
• Organise and manage all aspects of the workload for engineers and designers allocated to his team within the parameters of a project schedule.
• Establish a list of discipline deliverables. Control, monitor and progress these deliverables to an agreed schedule within a project.
• Organise and manage the resource requirements for the structural discipline within a project.
• Checking of calculations, technical notes, requisitions, specifications, drawings and deliverables produced within Discipline.
• Preparation of Basis of Designs, Work Scopes and FEED Studies.
• Input into development and promotion of initiatives to improve cost effectiveness of Discipline.
• Continuously monitor the performance of his team in terms of man-hours and costs against the project’s programme and budget.
• Training and development of personnel.
• Compliance with Technical Standards and Company Procedures.
• Compliance with Regulatory, Legal, Quality and Company Requirements.
• Maintaining a co-operative and helpful attitude to colleagues and clients.
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Oil & Gas Business Unit.
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for the Oil & Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Essential Skills/Experience
• A relevant Structural/Civil Engineering Degree.
• +10 years analysis and design experience in the offshore Oil & Gas Industry. A minimum of 5 years experience related to fixed offshore platforms.
• Familiarity with Industry Standards including API RP2A and ISO recommended practices. Knowledge of the application of section 17 for the re-assessment of existing platforms is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge and familiarity of structural analysis of fixed offshore structures (Jackets). Proficient in the use of the structural analysis program SACS.
• Experience in structural steel design.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently or within a team with demonstratable supervisory skills.

Location: Saudi Arabia / Bahrain, SAUDI ARABIA
Remuneration: 160000 - 200000 US Dollars/year
