They are looking for a HSE Manager to look after their global operations. They would like someone with previous HSE experience in a supervisory or a HSE assistant management position. Therefore the candidate does not neccessarily have to have had management experience.

The candidate:

10 years experience in HSE
Educated to degree level in Safety, Occupational/Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering/Management or related science/engineering area.
HS&E certificates recognized by institutions such as the American Society of Safety Engineers, the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the Health & Safety Executive
Excellent interpersonal skills,
Advanced oral and written communication
Project Management
Contract Management
Extensive experience of ten or more years in the health, safety and environmental field preferably in the power generation sector.

The Job:

Responsible for supporting the worldwide Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Team with the lead responsibility for a set of assigned assets (UK and the Netherlands).

Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the company-wide Health, Safety and Environment strategy

Responsible for tracking regulatory change and determining impact on company assigned assets

Responsible for the review and analysis of health, safety and environmental leading and lagging Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) for regional site locations

Support of development opportunities within the region as required

Participation in annual operating reviews in other regions as required.

Provision of HSSE support for planned and forced outages in the region.

Travel:

Travel within UKNL region to sites and project offices approximately 40% of time; occasional international travel to support other regions and HSSE programs as required.

Second language a plus but not essential
