Our Client has a vacancy for a Contracts Engineer based in Great Yarmouth This is a contract position. Responsibilities: Lead/co-ordinate/support tender processes (including development of work-scopes and terms and conditions) for all new contracts as appropriate, including preparation of client documentation. Develop contract terms and conditions, to transfer risk, in accordance with policies. Implement post-award contract strategies, in conjunction with the Contract Holder. Undertake commercial and contractual analysis, and instigate operational challenge, to mitigate risk, and maximise opportunity. Propose and process contract variations to reflect changing circumstances. Evaluate and maintain contract agreements and their performance. Ensure proper measurement and monitoring of contractors’ performance (commercial and operational). Lead/coordinate communications between contract users and contractors, (FPAL assessments, monthly reports, contract meetings, etc.) where applicable. Identify and communicate potential claims/issues/trends from contractor performance. Lead/co-ordinate/support resolution of contractor claims and issues, as appropriate. Assess contractor proposals and propose recommendations to management to maximise benefits and efficiencies from contractor activities. Agree and process contractor bonds and guarantees as appropriate. Assist HSEQ in respect of any audit requirements. Provide support to all stakeholders with an interest in Contracts, as required. Monitor subcontract spend against ACV. Essential Experience: Relevant Degree and/or experience working within an Oil & Gas commercial/contract environment. Experience of Contract Engineering or Supply Chain Management within relevant industry. Experience and knowledge of Contract management procedures and templates. Commercial background. Desirable Experience: Good technical understanding of contracting principles. SAP awareness/experience. The salary for this position is negotiable.
